First Semester Reflection

Wow, the first semester of freshman is almost over. Since this is a school project I need to post a reflection on Verse Agreement is going.
There have been quite a few bumps in the road. For example recording. The first episode we recorded we really struggled. We recorded on a phone in a room, but then we struggled getting the video onto the computer.
The last video we had tons of technical difficulties, for example my old YouTube account wouldn't accept a video over 15 minutes and wouldn't let me change it. After a 20 minute freak-out and I made Verse Agreement it's own youtube and uploaded the past 3 episodes.   I really hope this doesn't happen again. What if I found away to prevent it from happening again?

I'll get on that...soon...

But I think we've accomplished a lot. We recorded three times successfully; we edited, and posted them on time. We were able to create a tumblr, twitter, and a youtube all in support for this one project.

(We have to come up with three inquiry questions, so...)
How do we get more followers on our sites?
-I've done the best I can with sharing the blog and other sites onto my main profiles. I'm not sure what more I can do.
What if I got the school to mention it on the school news?
-Only problem is we were shooting for a diverse set of listeners (Which we do, shout out to our international listeners!)
How can I make the podcast better and more organized?
-Hopefully that answer will just come to the three of us in a dream or something.

There done with that. But really we are working on a permenate skeleton so our show runs smoothly rather than random.

Our goals are still the same; spread teens lesser known poetry through a podcast.

During second semster we hope to prefect the order of the show, have a constant stream of poems. We're going to keep working hard and perfect the podcast step by step. Hopefully all our listeners will send in their poetry and really enjoy it.

Send us your poems to: verseagreement@gmail.com

I want to use this time at the end of my blog to thank my English teacher, Mrs. G. for allowing us to do genius hour and giving us a wonderful oppertunity to learn about things we love.

Feedback and Beyond!

Wow! We're very excited the second episode is up and we're working on the next Verse Agreement. I'm just so happy about all this support we're getting. We have so many new ideas brimming and fun ideas for later episodes.
Some comments we've gotten haven't really been spoken, but rather on the poll at the bottom of the page. Most of the votes have been for Laura's Corner and you guys don't know how happy that makes her. I would love if we could give her more time, but you might not have known this, but if the blog goes over 10 minutes I can't post them on blogger. After a few more episodes we should have organized feel and more condense. Right now it's kind of a mess...
Our Goal is before next week is to have recorded the next show. Which if everything goes as plan Laura, Lily, and me will record together and have the first show that includes all three of us talking about poetry together.
Here's some resources we've used for Verse Agreement:
How To Make A Podcast
Poetry on Deviantart
Dear Poetry Blog on Tumblr
How to make Blogger blogs look cool
Poetry Clubs on Wattpad

Lots of Love,
Emma, Lily, and Laura

Verse Agreement #1

This is the first edition of Verse Agreement. I want to thank you for your patience while we set up and prepared. And of course there were a few kinks in the road when we uploaded onto the computer we lost half of our material so I had to record our goodbye alone. I hope you enjoy the first edition of Verse Agreement.

Thanks to Laura and Lily without them this wouldn't have been possible, love you guys!

Hopes and Updates!

Your new friends at Verse Agreement have been working very hard to get the podcast rolling. I want to be able to find or have someone submit there's by the end of this post. We are in track to have the first episode by next week. We've been working and playing around with audio editing. We're having problems with uploading to Soundcloud, it's saying the file is over 10 minutes, but it's only 7. So....we may not be using Soundcloud until we figure that out. We're very excited and ready to the poetry out to you!
Remember you can always submit your own poems to us and they'll be used as soon as possible!!
Lots of Love
-Emma, Laura, and Lily

UPDATE:
So I shared this project with the class and they really liked it. I got some great feedback. I added some new segments and how to connect with other teens for poetry. I found some new poems on deviantart and had an idea for a TBH episode where people would submit they're poetry from the 6th grade or younger. We should have the next episode up by next week. Lily and I will be recording this weekend.

Verse Agreement Introduction

This blog is dedicated to the behind the scenes of the Podcast 'Verse Agreement' right now we are in the process of setting up the podcast, so please be patient with us!
My name is Emma and this blog is me and my friends, Laura and Lily. All three of us love poetry and we thought of this idea one day at lunch. Why don't teens listen to more poetry? We post every other Friday and we look forward to reading your submission and we have a new segment (well everything is technically new) where you can email me (ranting.declaim.shout.bellow@gmail.com) you reading your poem (or just your poem) if you'd feel more comfortable about that.

Hopefully we'll be posting shortly!
